Vibhuti is the co-owner and dispensary manager of Unichem Medical Corner Pharmacy, becoming a pharmacist through the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Otago. Of special interest for Vibhuti is the pharmacy's sleep apnoea programme, which she has championed.
Originally from Gujarat, Vibhuti is a native speaker of Gujurati and Hindi. She has co-designed projects to improve access to vaccinations, maternity outcomes, education surrounding diabetes and much more. She is the Ex-Chair of the Pegasus Health Cultural and Linguistically Diverse Health Advisory Group (CHAG), supporting migrant and refugee communities across Canterbury.
Of notable mention are her personal achievements; being named a finalist for both Future Pharmacist of the Year and Young Pharmacist of the Year at the New Zealand Healthcare Awards. Vibhuti enjoys community health, connecting people, and working collaboratively to deliver community health services.
A mum of two young sons, Vibhuti has a strong commitment to maternal and child health. Cricket is a key theme in Vibhuti's life; if she wasn’t a pharmacist, she would either be a player or a coach! She has been living in New Zealand for 13 years now, but will forever be a strong supporter of the Indian cricket team.
